Accounts 07-08

Please find below a summary of our accounts for the end of the financial year 2007-2008:

Balance from Previous Statement N/A, This is our first year of fiscal trading
Total Income Collected £876.12
Total Income Earned-not-Collected £537.00
Total Income £1413.12
Total Expenses Reconciled £619.34
Total Expenses not-Reconciled £0.00
Total Expenses £619.34
Total Balance (Profit) 2007-2008 £793.78

This is all a bit skewed however by the fact that the URMANT cycle has started earlier in a few schools this year so there are two subscriptions from the same school in the same financial year, it will take a while for that to balance out in the accounts.

Let URMANT Help

  • Drowning in a sea of paperwork?
  • Had enough of chasing subject teachers for references?
  • Fed up of typing up references written on scraps of paper?
  • Want the ease of being able to work online, whenever suits you?
  • Don't want to pay a fortune for a bulky, cumbersome and difficult to use system?

Heard of URMANT?
With A-Level exams looming the last thing a head of sixth forms wants is to have to start worrying about the year 12's UCAS applications. URMANT makes the whole process of sorting out UCAS references simple. Administrative staff do their bit, subjects teachers do their bit, form tutors do their bit and you do your bit. The system keeps everybody in the loop and lets you know where the bottlenecks are.

URMANT is still in its trial stages, but we are looking for more schools to join the system for the next academic year (08/09) and we're offering good incentives to join us in our early years! Get ahead of the game by joining now and enjoy a 50% life discount on your yearly URMANT subscriptions. Contact Us for more information.

New Website

Today this site officially went "Live", and users are now being redirected here from the various sub-websites which used to serve these projects. By keeping all our projects in one place, we hope to be able to better maintain the overall quality of content. In line with this we have also launched a new help site, built on MediaWiki software it will - over time - build up into a repository of help, support and documentation for VBE Software projects.

Greener Hosting

Green Web Hosting! This site hosted by DreamHost.
Last week our hosting company, Dreamhost, went Carbon Neutral, since VBE Software Development operates entirely through this hosting platform, and has no other carbon-related overheads, we are pleased to announce that we too are now operating Carbon neutral. As time goes by we will offset anything which does enter our footprint, such as office stationary and transportation for training sessions, etc.

25/04/2007 - URMANT Trials

We are currently looking for a small number of schools to take part in the second year of URMANT - The UCAS Reference Management System from VBE Software Development. Schools joining up for the 2007-2008 or 2008-2009 UCAS season will get a 50% discount for life.

Your URMANT subscription entitles your school to full use of the reference management system for one year group, for one year (based around the UCAS season, running from June 2007 to May 2008). It also gives you access to any references from previous year groups which can be used to recall past student information in the case of professional references, etc.

25/07/2006 - New Hosting

We've just moved to a new host in line with the rest of my sites and projects. If you're one of the many webmasters linking to me, please can you update your links. You are being redirected, but eventually the old server will be going offline.

A few big fixes for you. Both for the same error message... 403, Class Does Not Support Automation. If you are running Windows 2000 you will need to revert to MSN 7.0, since Windows 2000 is not officially compatible with MSN 7.5. If you are running Windows XP, you may need to download the latest version of Windows Messenger (don't use it, just install it...) You can get it here.

16/04/2006 - New iTunes2MSN v1.1

New version of iTunes2MSN finally released! Version 1.1.0 is now out, with a selection of (mostly behind the scenes) improvements which should help stability. Thanks to Ben (a different Ben to my last post!) who is now a member of the iTunes2MSN team for fixing numerous little bugs and being full of ideas! Currently he's working on .. wait for it... Windows Media Player support!

17/12/2005 - iTunes2MSN v1.0 Released

Version 1.0 of iTunes2MSN is at last ready for release. Thanks for all your support on the forums, I'm starting to develop a website to launch this project from.
